    Longtime listener, firsttime poster

Just listened to the new podcast and I just wanted to say that the Oregon Trail is truely a great game. All the memories I have hidding in the back of the class in grade 4 playing it with my friends and laughing at them when their character died. Hunting by far was the best part of the game. I just found this article it has a download of the game at the bottom. Also it mentions Math Munchers, do you remember that game? Now that I have to say is without a doubt the best math game ever created. Anyways *ding* keep up the good work

Guys, forget the damn Peabody awards. Jack's totally gonna get an Oscar for that performance. And yeah, the music totally nails it. Bravo!

    Regular listener here.

Thanks for keeping up the podcasts during the break.

And HJ, quit downing on Jay. You're sounding as whiny as the other Jack. You sound best when working together.

Anyways (*ding*), My theory is that everyone on the island has been there before, most likely as a child. Many characters have breaks from parents during their childhoods (walt, boone, locke, etc.). I think they are all being recalled to the big island experiment.

    Hear you next week,

i've got a little complaint about handsome jack...PLEASE stop being an opinionated punk! really, i know the show is all in good fun, but it's getting really old having you put forth your opinions as gospel. you do have some good ideas, but i am tired of the way you put them out there in the "i'm right and no one else is" attitude. it gets confusing sometimes when i hear you say,"We KNOW that Cindi and the pilot are Others" thing. please tone it down a little. that's a great theory, i don't happen to agree with it, but stop saying it the way you do. i know i come off as a pompous ass-not what i was going for, but i got a little annoyed with this last podcast. (could it be the withdrawl of no new lost? i hope that's the case) i LOVE the podcast, but if you could tone it down a little it would be appreciated.
Jay- keep up with the -ding-, and you've got a fan in me!so there's at least 2 of us!
Jack- i'm still a fan of you too, but i think we all know who the brains of this outfit is. :) you may be handsome jack, but jay's got you with the brains part., now i'm doing it! i love the cast-keep it up, and get lost!

    Thanks Killroy,

I respect your opinion, but please remember I'm not intelligent nor do I have a sexy voice. Being a opininated puck is all I have.
Also i've said this before, without Jay there would not be a Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack. He really does most of the work. Please don't tell Jay I said that.

    Thanks for listening

I personally like how Jay and Jack interact, it's so natural and it makes this show really fun to listen to. I say that I get 2% good information from listening to it but definitely 100% enjoyment. I wouldn't complain about HJ making fun of Bitter Jay because I know it's in the name of fun. I wouldn't even listen to killroy. Without Jay and Jacks "friction" we would be listening to a boring podcast (ahem scott and steve and ryan and jen, j/k)... peace.

    thanks Jackie-boy,

I appreciate the fact that we can disagree with eachother like civilized people. It's not that i don't enjoy your theories, i just got confused when you would say them like you did. it made me think," wow, when was THAT on the show?" Then I realized that was your opinion coming out. So thanks for your comments. They're appreciated, and I know where you're coming from.
I feel we've reached a new level of friendship and understanding. :) (If it can be called that) haha!
    thanks for the podcast!
ps. long live paul, and the awesome theories!

I listen to Jay and HJ because they're completely entertaining. I think they have a pretty large following, probably because they're personable and entertaining. If I wanted to listen to a podcast strictly focused on Lost, I'd listen to the stupid ABC one. I prefer a less rigid show, one that goes off on tangents while still keeping me amused. Probably because, like Jay and Jack, I have ADD. Anyways, guys, keep up the great work. And the witty banter.

I just want to say that I really enjoyed this last show! The two of you - BOTH of you - are really great fun! You and the others who have podcasted thru this "I-hate-us" have not only made these six weeks bearable, but educational and fun. You two were the only ones to podcast all 6 weeks. That deserves a trophy!

You know who you two remind me of? The Smothers Brothers. Now with your excellent guitar playing, AND a presidential campaign (as in Pat Paulson)you really fit the bill. I figure that being the most like the Smothers Brothers HAS to earn you some reward as well (are there a Tom and Dick on the island?

I remember the Oregon Trail, but I admit it, I never played it. Maybe I'll follow Scott's lead and go play it now.

I come from the generation of Zork players. My brother was one of the original infocom team... not that any of that brilliance wore of on me, lol. I also played Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy (and I won it after a long long time without cheating, lol). I still think there must be a link between lost and Hitchhikers Guide, but I'll be darned if I can remember that well.

Anyways, (ding), I just wanted to thank you both for continueing to podcast every week during this super long six weeks. Poor Charlie, I can identify with his withdrawal so much better now, even though I do think he was in with Ethan (.. he just connected with Ethan after the crash). But desperate times bring desperate actions.

Again, Thanks for the weekly fix. Now I'm off for Teat-Time with Goldie to discuss the 23rd psalm. Far Out! Keep strumming that guitar and get Micheal's boat ashore.

    Peace, Laura

    The HIGH PRIEST Connection

I've not seen this anywhere else yet... So I thought I would share in a new thread. I'm a pastor of small groups in a non-denominational church in Northern Kentucky. Not only am I totally caught up in the show, but my wife and I, along with our next door neighbor do a weekly hour long podcast devoted to lost called "Generally Speaking."

    Here's my thought....

In the 23rd Psalm episode... Mr. Eko is carving more scripture passages into his "Jesus Stick." (I love that!) Claire and Mr. Eko have a very interesting Conversation. I'm only going to stick to the talk about Aaron's name for this post.

Mr Eko tells Claire that Aaron was a great man. He spoke for Moses because Moses had a hard time speaking for the people.

Thought the Old Testament was boring? Think Again...

Think that Moses was chosen by God because of how FAITHFUL he was? Think Again!

In fact, God called Moses to speak for His words to the poeple and Moses gave excuse after excuse of why God should go and find somone else! It's unbelievable how many times reaffirmed Moses yet Moses still neglected to have faith even after signs and miracles during his intial calling. Finally God got ANGRY with Moses and his lack of faith and told him to use his brother Aaron to speak for him.

It really is interesting to read... Read Exodus Chapter 3 & Chapter 4:1-17 (It's nowhere near as much reading as that looks like. Chapter 3 is very short and 17 verses of chapter 4 should only take about 5 minutes total to read...

So now you know why Eko mentioned that Aaron had to speak for Moses. But there is a much larger tie in here. Recall Eko is very interested in WHY Claire show the name Aaron. Then Mr Eko is asked a large number of occasions if he is a priest. The term priest has come up so much that it made me think about this point...

In the Old Testament book of Leviticus in Chpater 8 verse12, Aaron is anointed as HIGH PREIST as the Lord Instructed!

What is the significance of anointing Aaron (from the Bible) as high priest?

The high priest had special duties that no other priest had. He alone could enter the Most Holy Place in the tabernacle on the yearly Day of Atonement to atone for the sins of the nation. Therefore he was in charge of all the other priests.

As Christians, we believe that the Old Testament High Priest was a picture of Jesus Christ who is our High Priest. The one who brings Salvation from Sins.
Hebrews 7:26-28… (Talking About Jesus) Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

So what is the tie in here? Is there a connection between Mr. Eko and Moses? Is Aaron supposed to be the "High Priest" that has the ability to atone for all the sins of the people on the island or the world?

I'll let you guys take it from here!
